Overview

Move A Little is designed with privacy in mind. We believe your health and exercise data should stay on your device, where it belongs. This policy covers two things separately: the Move A Little app and thiswebsite (movealittle.app).

The App: What We Collect

No telemetry or cloud collection. The app contains no analytics, no tracking, and no accounts. Here's what stays on your Mac and what we never see:

  • Your exercise preferences and settings
  • Exercise completion logs and statistics
  • Break schedule configuration
  • License key (for activation)

✗ Never Collected

  • Personal information (name, email stored locally only during license activation)
  • Health data beyond what you log in the app
  • Usage analytics or tracking
  • Screen recordings or photos
  • Location data

License Validation

When you activate a license, Move A Little communicates with LemonSqueezy (our payment provider) to validate your license key. Along with update checks (below), this is the only network communication the app makes. LemonSqueezy's privacy policy governs how they handle this data.

Software Updates

Move A Little uses Sparkle to check for software updates. This process may send your macOS version and app version to our update server to determine if an update is available. No personal information is transmitted.

Data Storage

All your data is stored locally on your Mac. We do not have access to it, cannot view it, and do not back it up. If you uninstall the app, your data is deleted.

This Website

Unlike the app, this marketing website uses analytics to understand how visitors find and use it: Plausible (cookieless, aggregate page statistics), PostHog and Google Tag Manager (page views and button clicks), and Sentry (error monitoring). We do not use session recording, and we do not sell or share visitor data. Payments are handled entirely by LemonSqueezy on their own checkout pages, under their privacy policy.

Children's Privacy

Move A Little is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Changes to This Policy

If we make changes to this privacy policy, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
